Bonny Babs (aka Barbara Staples) has been designing and crafting costumes since 2000. Running her costume commission business limebarb.com and making costumes has been her full time job since 2002. She makes, and oversees the creation of hundreds of costumes each year. With all this experience she has gained a wide knowledge of costume crafting (from the tips of shoes, to the tops of wigs!), historic knowledge, and great attention to detail. Barb loves each project she works on, but she has a special love of experimentation, the challenge of drafting a complex or gravity deifying costume that drives her forward into making bigger and bigger costume projects!

As artist, she is influenced by many things beyond popular fashion that inspire her to craft truly unique costumes as art. She has an often whimsical style, drawing inspiration from many things such as nature, a large knowledge of period costumes, art movements, and music. Barb also makes ample use of her other skills in the art of costume making such as drawing, painting, and daydreaming to aid in design and crafting.
